Gloria Grau 2019

‘Camins que es troben’

An enchanting collaboration between artists Roser Gay and Gloria Grau from Barcelona resulted in this delightful creation. Inspired by the innocence and wonder of childhood, the artwork beautifully captures nostalgic memories and whimsical adventures amidst the backdrop of local nature.

Gay and Grau’s collaborative effort breathes life into the canvas, portraying scenes of carefree joy as children frolic among vibrant flowers, infusing the streets with a kaleidoscope of colors, energy, and playful movement. Through their evocative illustrations, the artists transport viewers to a realm where imagination knows no bounds, inviting them to reminisce on their own cherished moments of youthful exuberance and exploration.

Gloria Grau was born in Barcelona, Spain, in the year 1965. She lives and has her painting studio on the waterfront in the town of Calafell, Tarragona.

Her work is influenced by different masters of Catalan and Spanish painting including Sorolla , Anglada Camarasa, Tàpies i Barceló.

In her tireless quest for new materials and forms, experiments with the spontaneity of the unexpected, the taste for spills and stains.

She succumbs to the freedom to do what she wants, how she wants: fabrics full of spots, textures i colors, giving languishing looks, giant flowers.

Gloria participates in different International Fairs and Art Galleries. Their creations are on display in different parts of the world, such as Mexico, Italy, the Arab Emirates, China, Dubai, Taiwan, Korea and Spain.
