‘FORMIGUES!‘

“Formigues!”, és una pintura mural que ret homenatge al món rural, en concret al fet de viure la infantesa en aquest entorn.
Sota aquest concepte principal, és on rau el nexe en comú dels dos autors, que tot i ser dos pobles diferents (Riba-roja d’Ebre i Ascó), han tingut el mateix espai/context on han viscut aquests anys de la seva vida. La infància en un poble, ha marcat les seves vides i els ha fet ser com són ara, condicionant els seus referents, els espais comuns de la memòria on tornar constantment a buscar referències així com un tarannà marcat en la mirada sobre com es relaciona lo humà amb el seu entorn.
La pintura té diverses capes de lectura, on utilitzant un llenguatge proper a la gramàtica visual del còmic com a eina vehiculant, es deixa entreveure un diàleg entre infants i natura, la curiositat i la innocència dels nens envers el que els envolta, o el reflex d’un poble que com les formigues, pas a pas, a poc a poc i colze a colze, tira endavant malgrat molts cops les dificultats de l’entorn.
“Formigues!” is a mural painting that pays homage to the rural world, specifically to the experience of growing up in this environment.
Within this main concept lies the common thread that connects the two artists. Although they come from two different towns (Riba-roja d’Ebre and Ascó), they shared the same space and context during those years of their lives. Growing up in a village has shaped who they are today, conditioning their references, the shared spaces of memory they constantly return to in search of meaning, as well as an attitude deeply reflected in the way they view the relationship between human beings and their surroundings.
The painting offers several layers of interpretation. Using a visual language close to the grammar of comics as a conveying tool, it reveals a dialogue between children and nature, the curiosity and innocence of children toward what surrounds them, and the reflection of a village that, like ants, step by step, slowly and shoulder to shoulder, moves forward despite the many difficulties imposed by its environment.
